iPhone 3G

Apple Inc launched the most anticipated mobile phone this year: the new iPhone. This in turn proved to be a meltdown at the information-technology held on Friday morning.

Many customers present at this gathering were unable or had problems getting their iPhones working.

According to what some people reported : they spent somewhere between one to two hours on the phone with Apple and AT&T Inc. This entire time trying to get a new iPhone to work would require bypassing some activation problems.

You might know that the iPhone 3G phone has a relatively low price comparing to its predecessor iPhone. It has many new features but Apple decided to cut down prices in order to achieve an even higher goal. They expect now higher figures regarding the iPhone reach.

In stores there was a big commotion about this, people waited at many desk counters to get the new iPhones activated. There were huge lines.

Regarding the reported problem:

A spokesman for AT&T, the exclusive carrier for the iPhone in the U.S., said there was a global problem with Apple’s iTunes servers that prevented the phones from being fully activated in-store, as had been planned.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1

Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X1 QWERTY with Windows Mobile and HSUPA has full QWERTY support to make the most of that Windows Mobile 6 operating system that it uses. The new XPERIA brand will focus on multimedia and mobile web communication. It brings a 3-inch wide VGA (800 x 480) touchscreen display, with a good 3.2 megapixel camera (supports photo light), A2DP Bluetooth, aGPS, WiFi, and it even has a microSD.

sonyericsson-xperia-x1.jpg
By the phone side we mention that it has quad-band GSM/EDGE, and 900/1700/1900/2100MHz HSUPA/UMTS/HSDPA (or 850/1700/1900/2100MHz in what must be a US-bound model). The new Navigation system is based on a touch screen, all this combined with the arc-sliding QWERTY, 4-way key and optical joystick make the X1 a great mobile phone. Now just replace that Internet Explorer Mobile browser with Opera Mobile 9.5 or Skyfire and the 110 x 53 x 16.7-mm X1 is ready to live up to its full potential.
